I'm A Tiny Elf

by Teresa Jennings

This short, simple, seasonal song is just what Santa ordered for your youngest singers. Whether you dress them as elves or just let it be implied, this is their moment to sparkle. Set to a Latin pop groove or "reggaeton" as you might know it, the song feels contemporary and invites movement. Which is a good thing since we've provided suggestions for it. At measure 22, as your little elves are listing things, we suggest they can simply point to them as they go: smile, nose, pointy ears, toes. If you're inspired, you could add a few simple things during the verse at 9 as well. For example, have them put their hands on their hearts when they say, "I like myself." Or make mini hearts with their fingers.

An attitude of confidence and strong self-esteem are the theme of the moment. So you won't have to work too hard to get them to say, "Yeah." each time. Whether they say it or shout it will be your call. Or theirs.
