Musicplay

Musicplay is a play based program. Each week features a new game from which the musical concepts in the curriculum are taught, and children love music games!

The Musicplay lesson plans include 79-110 songs per grade, like action songs, sing-along songs, holiday songs, game songs, and more; multicultural songs - Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, and African, sung in original languages; a variety of voicings and accompaniments in the recordings; Internet references for many topics; performance and accompaniment tracks for most songs; a listening notebook and response journal; native Canadian songs and games; and beginning recorder instruction in grade 4 and 5. This series is sequenced for use within Kodály and Orff programs, and it supports and enhances science, social studies, and the language arts curriculum.

Each Musicplay lesson plan includes a teacher's guide and audio, and most have a softcover student book available separately. There are reproducibles for written exercises in the teacher's guides, so student books can be used for many years.
