They Are The Penguins

by Teresa Jennings

Did you know that a group of penguins is called a "waddle"? Well, it is. And thanks to this hard rockin', attitude-ladened Antarctic ditty, you and your students can learn even more about penguins. Notably, they have the opportunity to name 18 different varieties. Now you know, and we know, that all 18 of these do not actually hang out together. And they probably don't really party. But that's where your classroom teacher comes in. If your students are studying penguins, Antarctica, global warming, or anything that might include knowing more about penguins, you can help them bring it across the curriculum. (from Music K-8, Vol. 19, No. 3)
