This Show Is Over

What better way to let the audience know that your show is over than to say so? A perfect closer to any light program, this song gives students a final chance to tell a few jokes before your program ends. Use the jokes provided or have your students come up with their own.

The premise of the song is that the audience isn't leaving despite the repeated musical announcement that the show is over. Two audience hecklers discuss the conundrum and grudgingly allow a few more jokes to occur to hopefully placate the audience and get them to go. (from Music K-8, Vol. 12, No. 3)
