Oh, what fun! Paul Jennings knows how to create instrumental settings that are fun and easy to perform. This delightful new concoction continues that tradition, with an arrangement that lets even very young performers shine. The concept is simple: Give a group of instrumentalists and kazoo players snippets from popular Christmas tunes, with each phrase ending in a vocal duel of "fa la la" and "ho ho ho." Ideally, the "fa la la" will be sung artfully and very pr-r-roper by half of your singers. The answering "ho ho ho" will be more raucous and Santa-like by the other half... (maybe just the boys?) You can see the possibilities for humor and performance delight.
Lots Of Options! While this work can be successfully performed with just one class, it is a great way to feature a larger number of children playing Boomwhackers® and/or any mallet instruments, kazoos, and an array of classroom percussion. The recorded tracks make this very special, featuring full orchestra and much more. There are three different versions of the recording - one with full performance, one with just the orchestra, and one with vocals, kazoos, and piano. You can literally do this tune with just kazoos, or a stage full of instruments... and anything in between. Our singers had a great time recording this, and we're sure that your young singers and players will enjoy it a lot, too.
