Ode To The Treble Clef

by Karl Hitzemann

In a series of songs we've come up with to help kids with various musical concepts, this song is about the treble clef. The lyrics tell your singers that the treble clef is an old-fashioned "G" and that it curls around the "G" line on the music staff. It also states the names for the line notes and the space notes when the treble clef is in its "cozy spot." The style of this song is a good old '50s rock ballad.

You and your singers will love the video that comes with this kit. It shows what a treble clef looks like and where it sits on the staff, and it shows the line and space notes that go along with it. (from Music K-8, Vol. 18, No. 3)
