A Mysterious Yet Elementary Musical For Young Voices

What nefarious forces have come into play to conspire against luminary Kris Kringle a mere one day after Christmas?! Let us examine the facts: Christmas was the best ever. Again. During the post-holiday break before starting on next year's events, Kris has decided to surprise his wife, Mrs. Kringle, with a birthday party. Given that her birthday is in June, it would indeed be a surprise. The plan was to prepare for the festivities while she was briefly out running errands. The star of the event was to be her favorite sweet treat, a kringle.

But what's this? The kringle has disappeared! It was seen just recently, but now has vanished from sight. Frantic searching ensues. No luck. Where could it be? It's a kringle calamity! Desperation takes hold and help is needed. Fortunately, the world's most renowned Reindeer Detective, Deerlock Holmes, just happens to be very nearby. He enters the scene with his associate, Dr. Blotzen (twin brother of Blitzen), and assesses the situation, noting that Mr. Kringle has lost the kringle for Mrs. Kringle. Since all efforts have failed thus far, Deerlock suggests the unthinkable: Perhaps someone took it! All are aghast at such a possibility but manage nonetheless to immediately start blaming and accusing each other. Even special guests such as the Tooth Fairy, Easter Bunny, and Leprechaun, who have arrived for the party, are not immune to suspicions! It's not long before music breaks out, and everyone is pointing fingers, hooves, wings, and paws.

Just then, Mrs. Kringle returns to witness the chaos. Kris is compelled to reveal the entire situation to her, including the surprise, which was, as expected, indeed a surprise. But the bigger surprise to her was how all of these friends were turning on each other. And over a kringle! Her faith in their friendships convinces everyone that mistrust is simply not an option. Even Deerlock concedes and resumes his investigations.

Aha! Clues! A trail of crumbs, a bit of frosting... Deerlock asks Kris to stand up from the chair he has occupied since the beginning of the story and turn around. Upon doing so, a squished kringle is revealed to all, stuck to Kris' pants. Mystery solved! The case is closed, and the solution – once explained – becomes perfectly elementary.

A fresh new kringle is conveniently brought onto the scene and the birthday/holiday revelry commences!
