I Feel So Waltzy

Consider this song a musical concepts tool for helping students learn about 3/4 meter and/or the waltz, both as a musical style and a dance. The light orchestral accompaniment is somewhat reminiscent of classical waltzes, but simplified for kids. The lyrics remind them to count 1-2-3, 1-2-3 throughout, mentally and literally in some spots. It's okay to let a little humor into their singing, too, especially when the counting finishes their phrases.

You could skip the music lesson (or add to it) and go right to singing and dancing, with or without an audience. The simplicity or complexity is up to you. (from Music K-8, Vol. 31, No. 4)
