Maid Of Culmore, The - Choral
adapted/arr. Karl Hitzemann"The Maid Of Culmore" is a haunting traditional Irish song with a relatively unknown history. Whatever its origin, it is a song of love and loss that is perfect for any program. It's also a very strong candidate for a contest piece. Our arrangement has three vocal parts, but as usual, parts 2 and 3 are optional. The song begins with a soloist but this, too, is optional. The recorded orchestral accompaniment features a violin and flute, in addition to piano, a harp, a guitar, drums, solo cello, and strings.
