Scottish Blessings - Choral
Plank Road Publishing
by Mike WilsonThis song was inspired by a trip to Scotland and some common Scottish colloquialisms and blessings heard there. "Lang may your lum reek" means "long may your chimney smoke" (a blessing for long life). "Weel may your boatie row and aye, your crew increase" is a blessing for prosperity and a large family. This 3-part mixed song was written for any middle age to older choir. It can be sung with all three parts, parts 1 and 2 only, or unison. And of course, there are Scottish/Irish instruments heard on the recording – bodhrán, uilleann pipes, and accordion.
Our Plank Road Publishing octavos save you the time spent copying and binding and come in the convenient octavo size (7.0" x 10.25") used by choirs. (Please note: These octavos are NOT reproducible.)
Please note: Although the text may mention downloadable products and Convenience Combo Kits, dealers may purchase the print product only.
