This electrifying collection is made up of eight favorites that really get kids moving. Many of them have special movement and teaching activities included in the Teacher's Handbook. Includes:

• Get Up! - Here's a movement activity song that is the perfect "adrenaline drainer" for active classes. By virtue of its sheer momentum, your students will be compelled to move. In fact, you'll need to corral their enthusiasm by teaching them a few basic moves.
• Festival! - This spirited tune offers plenty of opportunities for students to move and for you to add instruments. So get out the claves, cowbells, and congas and dance!
• Hoedown! - Fiddle, banjo, and mandolin set the tone for some good old-fashioned country fun that will get toes tapping, bodies moving, and spirits soaring.
• Boogie Woogie - "Boogie Woogie" is a fun tune to sing and move to. You can take advantage of the natural beat when performing this song, either for an audience or just in your own classroom.
• Dancin' On The Rooftop - With it's swingin' big band style, this tune is an absolute favorite of students and teachers alike. You'll all have a hard time sitting still with this movement-oriented song. The authentic accompaniment tracks feature a real big band complete with a drummer reminiscent of Gene Krupa.
• Slick Back Jack - Here's a great way to get your students up and moving, especially if they do as the song suggests during the chorus. If they don't want to follow the directions, the distinctive 1940's sound will inspire them to make up their own movements.
• Bat Dance - Fun-loving and jazzy, this tune is ideal for use around the Halloween season (though it never mentions the holiday), and it also works well as a vehicle for creativity and movement any time during the year.
• Show Me Some Respect - The song "Show Me Some Respect" is geared to reach the older students in more than one way. First of all, it is a rock tune with a familiar feel and sound which they will be able to relate to immediately. Secondly, it deals with a subject that is heavily on their minds - whether they realize it or not.
