Self-esteem is a problem for people of all ages, but if a child can develop a good self-image early in life, there is a much greater chance for success and happiness. With this in mind, Teresa Jennings has created Proud, a compelling musical revue that uses music to help students feel good about themselves, their lives, and their heritage. "Teach Me Well" is an intriguing reminder from the children to the adults around them, and the revue culminates in the dramatic "I'm A Citizen Of This World." These are powerful, thought-provoking songs that can all be used separately for classroom use or together as it is published. Every song has a special lesson for your students. And the script is open-ended and very adaptable, so you can add any other tunes you wish to customize this revue for your school's needs.
