We Wish You A Swingin' Holiday!

This clever, high-powered partner song is a real showstopper and has been a very popular addition to many winter concerts. Loosely based on "We Wish You A Merry Christmas," Teresa's ingenious concoction turns the song into a great swing tune with a verrrrry proper chorale-like center section. For the second verse, a scat-like partner is introduced which is a lot of fun to perform, and the third time through these two are combined for a fine finale. As icing on this confection, Paul has created a rich orchestration for big band with strings and harpsichord joining in during the chorale section. (from Music K-8, Vol. 14, No. 2)
