Furusato

From Plank Road Publishing

by Tatsuyuki Takano/arr. Paul Jennings

This poignant little song started life over a hundred years ago in 1914 Japan, as a simple children's song. The title means "old home" or "hometown." We have created a lush, emotional arrangement that can be played with just the first soprano part (D,F#,G,A,B,C,D',E') or with the second, easier soprano part which only requires G, A, and B. We have also provided an optional alto recorder part (B, C, D, E, F, G) that can be played by most first year alto players. (from Music K-8, Vol. 25, No. 4)

(Run time: 1:39)
