Making a Didjeridu - Lesson Plan

Q: Has anyone out there designed any lessons for making a Didjeridu? I'm especially interested in having my kids make one!

A: We make them by taping a wrapping paper tube and 2 paper towel tubes together. Then we decorate them as "tribal" as we can. We make one per team (4 kids in a team) and then draw to see who gets to take it home at the end of the unit. We listen to Didjeridu music and we read The Singing Snake. This book is the legend of how the Didjeridu was started - very cool book!
