Change Your Wording to Motivate Students

It's funny how changing the wording of how you give your expectations will get your students to work harder.

I often will say, "Your challenge is..." instead of saying, "Your test is...." My students love to take a challenge. For example, with 1st graders, "If your are ready for 2nd grade, you will be able to do this."
