Music Vocabulary Roll Call

While I call roll at the beginning of class, instead of saying "here," I have children reply with a word that we will learn during that class, such as "crescendo" or "rondo form." Then, after I have gone down the roster, all the students are really curious about what the word means. Also, then I know every child has at least heard and said the word.
