Lyrics For Bees Are Buzzing For Drug-Free Celebration

My school has a close relationship with the local police department, which among other things, has provided our kids and teachers with Drug-free schools T-shirts, which have a large bee and the statement "Wanna Bee drug free!" Every Wednesday, therefore, I teach classes of bumblebees!

My 3rd graders rewrote the lyrics to "Bees Are Buzzing" (from Music K-8, Vol. 12, No. 4) to be drug-free bees. We also made "Bee-zoos" - complete with yellow and black stripes and wings! We'll be singing this at the school-wide drug-free celebration this spring.

Drug free is the only way to "bee."
Just like bees we need to be free.
