Self-Discipline vs. Teacher-Discipline

- Self-discipline: when you (yourSELF) - no one else - makes good choices.
- Teacher-discipline: when the teacher helps you make good choices.
- (You can also change the word "discipline" to "control.")
I've been putting dots on the board to make it totally clear and explicit how many times I had to exercise teacher-discipline. Since implementing this visual, the kids have dropped the number of dots dramatically.
