Self-discipline: when you (yourSELF) - no one else - makes good choices.
Teacher-discipline: when the teacher helps you make good choices.
(You can also change the word "discipline" to "control.")

I've been putting dots on the board to make it totally clear and explicit how many times I had to exercise teacher-discipline. Since implementing this visual, the kids have dropped the number of dots dramatically.
