This is one of my adaptations from the "Stomp The Halls" Music K-8 Mailing List idea using the music of "Deck The Halls." I've done the full-blown dance version with older students, but this adaptation is geared for younger ones and doesn't require them to move beyond the space they're standing in.

(Movement corresponds to the words of the song.)
4 claps to the pulse (Deck the halls with...)
Forward bow down and up (Fa la la la la la)
3 stomps (La la la)
Repeat all above, except change claps to pats.
Walk R around in a circle (in place) (Don we now..)
Forward bow down/up (Fa la la la la la)
3 stomps (La la la)
Walk L around in a circle (Troll the ancient...)
Forward bow down/up
3 stomps

My CD recording has three verses, so we'll repeat the sequence in its entirety three times. I'm also thinking of using rhythm instruments on the claps, pats, and stomps.
