As you will immediately hear, this tune is quite a departure from our usual style for Veterans Day celebrations and ceremonies. Many of you have asked for something lighter like this, and we are more than happy to deliver. We think the message of gratitude to our veterans and troops is loud and clear, doo wops and all.

It would be best to learn this song using the recording so that your students can hear the style, inflections, and overall feeling as they sing along. Though there are a number of scoops and falls in the melody, they happen pretty naturally and lay well with the very cool background tracks.

Speaking of backgrounds, you will see that there is an optional second part that starts just prior to the D.S. This truly is a background feature, and if you don't have the singers to pull it off, we have covered the line with the band on the recording, too. Which means that the song works in unison.
