Voccata #4

by Teresa Jennings

Here's a nice little show-off piece for your choir! Part of our series of "voccatas" (a made-up word sort of meaning "vocal toccata"), this one is optionally 3-part or 2-part, as you prefer. Part 3, which is written in bass clef for your lower, changing, or changed voices, is actually very basic and expendable if you don't have singers to do it.

The beauty of this piece is that it is also an excellent workout. If you just accompany it live, or if you use it a cappella, you can keep speeding it up to challenge singers more and more. Or to show off more!

We have given you a lot of options for this song. On the recording, you hear the full versions with three parts and two parts as well as the instrumental track. As free online extras, you get much more including isolated rehearsal parts and various tempos. All of these are detailed in the chart on page 64.
