In Judah's Land

adapted/arr. Mike Wilson

This traditional sacred jewel was rediscovered in the course of recording a project for a living history museum in Indiana. And since this writer has a strong interest in folk/Irish/old-timey music, he decided to do a folk arrangement of it for your older choirs. It has a rangy melody line, but catchy enough to grab onto fairly quickly. If you can do it, part 2 is well worth the additional work, though it is optional. We've included a learning guide for it on our web site.

The text has an old-fashioned flare. And with hammer dulcimer, banjo, and mandolin as part of the traditional acoustic rhythm section, your audience will be transported to pioneer times.

Text is taken from Music K-8 magazine.
