The Video Network section of MusicK8.com publishes video clips of students enjoying and participating in musical activities in the classroom and performing in concerts and programs that feature Plank Road Publishing songs. We will select the best of the videos submitted to us and post them here in the Video Network.

Please read the following guidelines carefully before submitting your video clips.

• We will only consider video clips of Plank Road Publishing songs. (Unfortunately, we cannot include clips featuring performances of "I'm A Little Teapot," because it is not in the public domain.) You do not need to edit out songs from other publishers; we will simply ignore them.
• All videos must be accompanied by a completed and signed Video Release Form. Click here to download the Video Release Form.
• Be sure you have secured all necessary permissions from parents, school officials, and/or any other relevant parties prior to submitting the video. Some school districts have a policy requiring parental permission for publication of images of students on the web. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO SECURE ANY NECESSARY PERMISSIONS BEFORE SUBMITTING CLIPS.
• Videos will only be considered if submitted by a person owning rights to perform the song, i.e., by a person who has purchased a product containing the song.
• Remember, if you plan to use your video for any purpose other than the Video Network, you need to request permission from us first. You can fill out a permission request form here. You do not need to request permission if you are only making the video for submission to the Video Network.
• Please submit your clips on a VHS tape (in NTSC format) or a DVD. Do not e-mail files.
• Please send duplicates only, as materials cannot be returned and become the property of Plank Road Publishing.
• Because of the number of video submissions we receive, we cannot acknowledge receipt of your materials.
• We are not responsible for lost or damaged submissions.
• Be sure to attach your name and complete mailing address to each video as it may get separated from the envelope.
• If we select and post clips from your video or DVD online, we will pay you (or your school) at least $50.
• If someone else owns the copyright on the video you submit (such as a television station or another web site), you must include that owner's written permission as well.

HINTS AND TIPS:

• Audio quality is important! Be sure the camera isn't too far from the performers to pick up their singing clearly.
• Make sure that the picture is sharply in focus.
• A tripod helps give you a nice, steady picture.
• Try to have the video show something happening rather than just a static group pose.
• Make sure that the video is not too dark or too light.
