The MusicK8.com Mailing List was created to give those that want to discuss using and enjoying the music included in each issue of Music K-8 magazine an online forum to do so. It's hoped that subscribers to the list will want to share ideas and applications for using the elements of Music K-8 magazine in the classroom to teach music with the other subscribers of the list.
It is NOT required that you be a subscriber of Music K-8 magazine to subscribe to and participate in the list. Hopefully though, after you become comfortable with the discussions that are part of the list, you'll wonder why you aren't a subscriber!
Nor is the list restricted to talk about Music K-8 magazine. It is a forum for music teachers to ask questions, exchange ideas, and simply communicate with and lend support to each other.
Mailing List messages are publicly accessible through our Mailing List Archives and can be viewed by anyone.
It's really simple! Just select one of the options on the Mailing List Subscribe Page and type in your e-mail address. Select "Subscribe" if you wish to receive individual messages (recommended), or "Subscribe to the Digest" to receive daily compendia of all messages sent.

From The List
"Everyd ay when I visit the list, I am reminded that I could never have made it in my job without MK8 and all of you here. You all have practically created me as a general music teacher. This place has been and is a cyber treasure chest for me professionally.
I cherish MK8, this list, and all of you listees (even though we have never even met). Thank you for being here and continuing to help me become the teacher I've always hoped I could be."
"I feel the people on this list are colleagues, friends, and confidantes. The ideas I have gleaned from participation in this list have shaped my teaching and my thinking more than any other single source. [...] I also look forward to the personal messages that are shared. The "NMR" messages of babies being born, of our children's and our personal successes (and the occasional failures), our personal and professional frustrations, and the heart-rending stories of personal loss also help us to grow ... in our joy, in our compassion, in our understanding, and even in our appreciation of those with differing opinions!"
