Kids Healing Kids is a non-profit, volunteer organization started in Holland, Michigan, by music teacher Bobbi Kearns. Every year the group produces a video of messages of encouragement as well as fun, uplifting songs. The videos are distributed to hospitals and chemotherapy centers, to be shown to children. In 1998, West Gordon Elementary School in Valdosta, Georgia, organized a similar project, using the Michigan group as a model. Its goal is to provide students activities to enhance core learning while serving others. The Valdosta program has chosen to extend its service not only to children, but also to the elderly. Thus, the videos are distributed to hospitals as well as nursing homes. This clip of the song "It Ain't Gonna Rain No More" is part of one such video. Click here to view the movie.
